SkinPen Microneedling

WHAT IT IS

SkinPen™ is a microneedling device designed to create tiny microchannels in the skin’s surface. These controlled micro-injuries may trigger your body’s natural healing response, helping to stimulate collagen and elastin production. The treatment is often explored to support the appearance of:

• Acne scars

• Fine lines and wrinkles

• Enlarged pores

• Uneven skin tone or texture

• Dark spots or melasma

• Stretch marks or other skin imperfections

This treatment is considered safe for a wide range of skin types and may be performed on areas such as the face, neck, hands, and décolletage.

HOW IT WORKS

SkinPen microneedling involves three key phases:

• Phase I: Inflammation

  • The device creates microchannels that may activate the body’s natural response to begin the healing process.

• Phase II: Proliferation

  • New skin cells and supportive structures begin to form as part of the repair cycle.

• Phase III: Remodeling

  • As the skin continues to renew, the outer texture and tone may gradually improve, revealing a more refined appearance over time.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Before Treatment: A topical numbing cream may be applied to enhance comfort.

• During Treatment: The SkinPen device is gently moved across the skin to create controlled micro-injuries.

• After Treatment: You may experience mild redness or tenderness, which often resolves within 24–48 hours.

Each session typically takes 15–30 minutes, depending on the area treated. A series of 3 or more treatments spaced approximately 4 weeks apart is often recommended for optimal results.
